Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska Radovan Višković received yesterday H.E. Ambassador Ji Ping, the new Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China for an introductory visit.
The Prime Minister welcomed H.E. Ji Ping as a new Ambassador and expressed belief that successful cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and Republika Srpska would continue in the coming period.
It has been emphasized during the meeting that the relations of the Republika Srpska with the People’s Republic of China were at very high level and that the Government of the Republika Srpska was committed to work continuously on the expansion of their economic and cultural cooperation.
The meeting was an opportunity to confirm partnership with regard to realization of significant infrastructure projects and the interlocutors expressed their belief that successful cooperation will continue primarily in the areas of economy, energy, infrastructure, construction and development of information and communication technologies.
Prime Minister Višković and Ambassador Ping also commended the improvement of cooperation in the field of education and culture that enabled students in the Republika Srpska to study Chinese language due to the opening of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka so that citizens of the Republika Srpska can get acquainted with the Chinese culture and tradition through various programs.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister extended his congratulations to the Ambassador of China for the Chinese New Year and stated his support for organization of cultural events in the Republika Srpska in cooperation with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on the current economic and political situation in the Republika Srpska and in BiH.
