Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković met in Banja Luka today with the delegation of the World Bank led by the Conutry Manager for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro Christopher Sheldon.
The meeting focused on the projects implemented by the Government of the Republic of Srpska with the technical and expert support of the World Bank and for realization of which financial support had been provided by the Swedish Development Agency (SIDA).
Prime Minister Radovan Višković informed the delegation of the World Bank that the activities on formation of the Department for Oversight and Coordination of State Owned Enterprises in Republic of Srpska have been completed and apprised them of the objectives of this department in the coming period.
The Prime Minister thanked the World Bank for the support it provided with regard to training of the staff and development of an information system for more efficient work of this Department for Oversight and Coordination of state owned enterprises.
At today’s meeting, Prime Minister Višković pointed out that the support of the World Bank with reagrd to the project of creating a social card system in Republic of Srpska which represents one of the highest priorities of the Government of Republic of Srpska would also be of great importance.
Mr. Sheldon stated that the World Bank was committed to continue support and further cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Srpska on joint projects and specially thanked the Ministry of Finance for good and correct cooperation on projects related to the health sector.
Minister of Finance, Zora Vidović, was also in attendance of today’s meeting with the World Bank delegation.
