The Police Day is celebrated all over Republika Srpska, and the central ceremony will be held in Banja Luka and in the Training Center of the Interior Ministry in Zaluzani.
The ceremony will be attended by Republika Srpska President Zeljka Cvijanovic, National Assembly Speaker Nedeljko Cubrilovic, Serbian Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic, Minister of Energy and Mining Petar Djokic, and Serbian Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin.
Marking the Police Day will begin with parastos for 782 killed members of the the Republika Srpska Interior Ministry /MoI/ .
Republika Srpska President Željka Cvijanović said that the police members give immeasurable contribution through devoted work to the preservation of peace and stability and are a source of Srpska institutions and citizens’ pride.
“On behalf of the Republika Srpska citizens and on my own behalf, I congratulate you and all members of the Republika Srpska Interior Ministry on April 4 – the Republika Srpska Police Day,” Cvijanovic said in a congratulatory note. “With the support of the Republika Srpska institutions, it is necessary to continue working on training, equipping and staffing our police force, as a guarantor of security and stability,” added Cvijanović.
On the Police Day, says Cvijanović, with gratitude and piety we remember the MoI members who participated in defensive-patriotic was and the police members who embedded their lives and parts of their bodies in the foundations of Republika Srpska, protecting their people and the freedom in which we enjoy nowadays.
“Wishing you to achieve your plans in the future and to achieve even greater success and work results, I congratulate you once again on the holiday,” said Cvijanović.
Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, Nedeljko Čubrilović, stresses in his congratulations note on the occasion of April 4, the Republika Srpska Police Day, that the police have made immeasurable contribution to the preservation of security and protection of the constitutional order of Republika Srpska by protecting security, property and rights of all peoples and citizens.
Čubrilović congratulated Srpska Interior Minister Dragan Lukač, Police Director, Darko Ćulum, as well as all members of the Republika Srpska Interior Ministry /MoI/ on the Republika Srpska Police Day.
“Within 27 years of existence and successful work, the Republika Srpska Police have made an immense contribution in preserving security and protecting the constitutional order of Republika Srpska by protecting security, property and rights of all peoples and citizens,” the congratulatory note reads.
Čubrilović stressed that it should not be forgotten that the Republika Srpska Police was the first organised institution of Srpska with the capacity to protect the people from suffering, even before the Republika Srpska Army, which was formed on May 12, 1992.
