The Republika Srpska Minister of Internal Affairs, Dragan Lukac, will attend yesterday a medal presentation ceremony for the UN police in Cyprus /UNPOL Medal Parade/, where one member of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs will also get a medal.

During his official visit to Cyprus, Lukac met with the Head of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Cyprus, Elizabeth Spehar, and the Head of the police component of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Cyprus, senior police adviser Ann-Kristin Kvilekval, says a press release from the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Eleven members of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs have participated so far in the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Cyprus, and at the moment three are in the Mission. We consider the success of a Ministry member who was appointed as deputy chief of the police component of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Cyprus as extremely important,” says a press release.

Sixty-five members of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs have taken part in UN peace missions in eight countries since 2000.
