Contestants from the Russian “Team 21”, one of the world’s strongest professional cycling teams, will compete in the eight bicycle race Banjaluka-Belgrade giving additional value to this manifestation, said Vladimir Kuvalja, the director of the event.
Along with the Russians, the Danish professional team “Kristina Voces”, whose leader is the famous cyclist Michael Rasmussen, will also enrich this event to be held on the 11th, 12th and the 13th of April. A total of 200 athletes from 32 teams will take part in the race, including 27 professional cyclists, some of them former “Tour de France” participants.
On the first day competitors will compete in a race around the streets of Banjaluka. This year’s “Grand Prix Banjaluka” marks a half century mark for this sporting event. On the second day bikers will reach Bijeljina travelling through Prnjavor, Derventa, Samac and Brcko, whilst on the 3rd and last day they will make their way to Belgrade.
