Sarajevo Business Forum 2019 opens

The 10th Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) investment conference officially opened on Wednesday in the presence of some 2,000 officials, investors and delegations from the region and the world.

Sponsored by the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the SBF 2019 is organised by the Bosnia Bank International (BBI) and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in cooperation with many regional and local partners.

The forum was opened by the Chairman of the Management Board of BBI Bank Amer Bukvić, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik, President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor and Prime Minister of the Government of Malaysia Tun Dr. Mahatir Mohamad.

BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik calls on participants of the Sarajevo Business Forum to invest in BiH and certainly develop their businesses, therefore helping BiH to ensure a stable and safe future.

The Forum participants were welcomed by the BBI CEO Amer Bukvic who noted that the SBF is recognised as one of the most significant business and investment events in south-east Europe.

In the next three days, the SBF will host nearly 2,000 participants and present over 300 investment projects.

This year’s jubilee SBF will host the largest Malaysian delegation yet, along with delegations from United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Albania, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Libya, Kuwait, Oman and many other countries.

Connecting south-east Europe with the rest of the world and building of infrastructure which facilitate the construction of economic and other ties are some of the topics of discussion at the Forum.

The Forum will also organise presentations for entrepreneurs, B2B business meetings for linking participants and development of new business possibilities and special attention will be devoted to Bosnian and regional economic potentials and potentials of the diaspora and their investments.

Bukvic also noted they would focus on the youth and their employment.
