Christian Schmidt, with his opaque statements and interpretations of laws passed by the Republika Srpska National Assembly, will never forbid Serbs to mark January 9 – Republic Day, said Miroslav Vujičić, an SNSD member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
Regarding Schmidt’s statement that celebrating January 9 as the Day of Republika Srpska is “a direct failure to implement decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH,” the non-compliance of which constitutes a criminal offense, Vujičić said that Schmidt interferes in everything, including January 9, which is one of the most significant dates in the history of Republika Srpska.
“It is one of the most important dates when Republika Srpska was formed, and Schmidt can heal his frustrations in Bavaria, not in Srpska,” Vujičić pointed out.
He added that Republika Srpska celebrated January 9 and will continue to celebrate it.
Schmidt said that celebrating January 9 as the Day of Republika Srpska “is a clear and direct failure to implement decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH, as well as decisions of the High Representative,” and added that non-compliance with decisions of the Constitutional Court is a criminal offense under the Criminal Code of BiH.
