Today and tomorrow, 14 and 15 November 2017, Brussels is hosting the second meeting of the Subcommittee on Economic and Financial Issues and Statistics between the EU and BiH.
Delegation of the Republic of Srpska at the meeting of the Subcommittee consists of the representatives of the Ministry of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation, Ministry of Finance, RS Statistics Institute, Republic of Srpska Banking Agency and Republic of Srpska Insurance Agency.
In accordance with the agenda and prepared discussion paper, representatives of the competent institutions in BiH are discussing with the representatives of the European Commission the progress achieved during the past year in fulfilling the obligations arising from the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the EU and BiH concerning the fields of: macroeconomic stability, latest economic events and supporting plans, public finance, medium-term and long-term fiscal sustainability, fiscal accountability, improvement of functioning of market economy, free interplay of market forces, privatisation, strengthening of competitiveness and productivity of domestic economy, development of capital movement, public internal financial control, external audit of public sector, statistics etc.
The Subcommittee on Economic and Financial Issues and Statistics between the EU and BiH is one of the seven joint working bodies of the EU and BiH, established to monitor the implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the EU and BiH, which entered into force on 1 June 2015.
