Serbia and Serbs stand for military neutrality, Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Sunday, adding that he thinks Bosnia will never become a NATO member state without the consent of Republika Srpska entity.
“NATO should take into account the position of Serbia and the Serb people, which is military neutrality and not joining any alliance. The fact that we’re surrounded by NATO member states won’t change the position of Bosnia and Bosnian Serbs,” he told the Russian “Vijesti.”
Dacic pointed out that Serbia wants good relations with the North-Atlantic Alliance, considering that the NATO mission is currently in Kosovo, ensuring peace there under the Brussels Agreement.
“But we won’t become a member state, considering our previous negative experience. NATO’s crimes, which left many children dead cannot be forgotten, and it’s a shame no one answered for them,” he said, adding that they still feel the consequences of the NATO bombing.
