This ski season in B&H, which should be in full swing, is likely to be one of the poorest in the last few years due to above average temperatures and the consequent lack of snow.
Guests are massively cancelling their reservations throughout the country, while ski resorts are adding up their losses.
Even snow fall in February and March will not fix this season. Although the various resorts have tried to enrich the season for winter sport enthusiasts, their efforts won’t bear the expected results.
In previous years artificial snow has been the answer to bare mountains; however the necessary precondition is a temperature of minus two Celsius. As it seems, the slopes of Jahorina, Vlasic, Kozara and Bjelasnica-Igman will remain bare.
