SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said on Thursday evening that the SNSD would propose to the Republika Srpska Government and other competent government levels to secure salary increase for public servants as of January 1, 2020.
“We propose that the lowest salary be BAM 500 as of January 1, which will enable significant visibility of salary increase,” Dodik told reporters in Banjaluka after a meeting of the task force for drafting a proposal of a salary increase policy.
Dodik has said that they analyzed salaries in administration, education, police and judiciary, except for judges and prosecutors as they belong to the other salary regime.
“Salaries that are now BAM 500 will be increased by 20%, salaries from BAM 500 to BAM 1,000 will be increased by 10%, and salaries from BAM 1,000 to BAM 1,800 will be increased by 7%, while salaries of public servants exceeding BAM 1,800 will be increased by 5%,” Dodik explained.
He said that this will require BAM 70 million more in the 2020 Budget only for this level of salaries.
