Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Nedeljko Cubrilovic stated Thursday in Banjaluka that last year the parliament adopted 55 legislation units, passed 55 laws, adopted the 2019 budget and was the most successful legislative institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Although it did not realise its work plan, the National Assembly was the most successful legislative institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina last year too. I hope it will do a lot more in the future and remain the most efficient parliament,” Cubrilovic said at a Christmas and New Year reception he hosted for representatives of the media, directors, editors, parliamentary reporters and cameramen.
He pointed out that the 2018 revised budget and the 2019 Economic Policy were adopted.
“The National Assembly realised 23 thematic units last year. Overall, we did not finish everything but we continue to operate successfully,” added the speaker.
He thanked the press for successful cooperation in 2018 and voiced hope for the same in 2019.
“I would like you to inform the public objectively and timely about the work of the highest legislative institution and continue our successful cooperation,” said Cubrilovic.
