Billboards with photos of the most successful Banja Luka athletes and the inscription “They are the future of our sport” have been put up at several locations in Banja Luka these days.
The billboards were set up by the City Administration as a symbolic gesture of support for more successful athletes, most of them being juniors in various sports.
– These days, all of these athletes, 15 of them, have received city scholarships, which are awarded for the first time on the basis of their sporting achievements last year. In addition to the material, we wanted to provide our promising athletes with moral support, aware of how much effort and dedication it took to achieve this success – they said in the City Administration.
This year, 15 athletes, swimmers Nikola Bjelajac and Mihajlo Čeprkalo, karate player Anja Lolić, athlete Jovan Rosić, basketball player Milica Praštalo, kayaker Dušan Mačkić, swimmer Marko Kovačić, karate player Sergej Vučić, tennis player Sara Mikača, table tennis player Vladimir Pandurević, athlete Aleksandra Roljić, chess players Maša and Bojan Maksimović and judo player Branko Tadić.
