American students from a school in Miami sang and played one of the most beautiful Serbian songs “Tamo daleko”.
“This video celebrates a 100-year anniversary of the conclusion of WW1 and commemorates all the sacrifice and suffering of Serbian People. This is a small token of appreciation and a proof that wherever we are in diaspora we will never forget where we came from. Special thanks: Dragan Djuric, RTS, Teodora Krstić, Christine de la Rosa and the wonderfull students of Miami Arts Charter School who even memorized the song! Dedicated to my friend Vuk Jeremic”, wrote Aleksandar Djuric who conducted the orchestra.
At the end of the song, Djuric even picked up three fingers and the audience was applauding all the time.
