Taxpayers in Republika Srpska, whose scope for changing the income tax base will be changed next year, can apply for a tax card by December 31st.
The request can also be submitted by taxpayers who have changed the interest rate on a home loan or number of dependents, as well as in the amount of life insurance premium or in the amount of paid contribution for voluntary pension insurance, announced the Tax Administration of Republika Srpska.
Depending on the basis for exercising the right to reduce the tax base, the application is completed on the basis of the repayment plan of a housing loan for the next year for the purchase or construction of one and only real estate.
The application shall also be completed on the basis of documentation on dependents, a life insurance policy from an insurance company holding a license from the Insurance Agency of the Republika Srpska, and a document showing the amount of life insurance premium to be paid in the coming year and the contract or other document which gives rise to the obligation to pay contributions for voluntary pension insurance.
For taxpayers to exercise their right to deduct the tax base on a monthly basis, it is necessary to hand over the card issued by the Tax Administration to the payer of taxable income.
To taxpayers who, after December 31, file a claim, a tax card will be issued for the period beginning on the first day of the following month, relative to the month of filing.
Taxpayers who have earned the right to deduct from the tax card during this year only on dependents of dependents and for whom there are no changes in the scope of the right to deduct the tax base, do not have to apply for a tax card for 2020 year.
