The choir of “Petar Petrović Njegoš” elementary school from the municipality of Eastern Ilidža, made up of sixth to ninth grade students and the choir leader Aleksandar Hart, will participate in the 10th charity event “To the Brave Hearts with Love”, held under the sponsorship of the President of the Republic of Srpska President Željka Cvijanović.
Hart, who is a music teacher at the school, told that they were thrilled and grateful to receive an invitation from the President of the Republic of Srpska to participate in the event.
He recalled that last year they expressed a desire to participate in this charity event, and now their dream to be partners of the President in this important project, came true.
Hart noted that the choir is made up of girls from sixth to ninth grade and there should be 18 participants at the performance in Banja Luka.
He stated that in May they performed at the Banski Dvor in Banja Luka in the republican competition and won second place, and expressed his joy for the opportunity to perform again at that cultural centre.
– I have been a choir leader for six years and since then we have participated in various events and competitions, and one of the most notable is the aformentioned competition. I hope we will improve that result in some of the next competitions – said Hart.
Hart said they have plenty of time to prepare for the show, and for now they have two rehearsals a week.
Ninth grade students at the Eastern Ilidža Elementary School “Petar Petrović Njegoš” Andrea Tošić and Ana Kovačević said that participating in the charity event “To the Brave Hearts with Love” means a lot to them, and they hope they will make a significant contribution to the action and help those in need.
– This is one of the most important performances for our choir, because it has the most beautiful message and it is of great importance. I have been a choir member since the second grade. I like to sing and this is a good way to spend time, and in this case it has a humanitarian character as well – said Tošić.
– I want to invite people of good will to call 1411 to help those in need – said Kovačević.
Funds raised in the charity campaign “To the Brave Hearts with Love” will be used to build day care centres for children with disabilities in Banja Luka and Trebinje.
The partners of the President of the Republic of Srpska in this year’s humanitarian action are young artists from different parts of the Republic of Srpska, who through their artistic performance will try to provide assistance to those in need, through their joint efforts.
The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Srpska opened a special purpose account for the charity event “To the Brave Hearts with Love” at the Komercijalna banka AD Banja Luka for payments of donations of individuals and legal entities, and the number is 571-010 – 00002700 – 15.
