Representatives of the ethnic communities in the U.S. met with the Obama administration to discuss internal and external policies. On this occasion, the administration expressed its determination in preserving a special relationship with the EU, its Member States and candidates.
During the meeting it was concluded that there is a need to support the ratification of the new trade agreement with Europe which will in the long term guarantee the economic interests of the U.S. and the whole of Europe.
Amongst the attendees were representatives of the community from Republika Srpska, who believe they are finally being treated as a serious factor in the political life of the United States.
Chief of the Representative Office of Republika Srpska in Washington, Obrad Kesic, stated that this meeting promises the recognition of the legitimate interests and attitudes of people from Srpska and Serbia.
