Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said this evening while opening the Days of Srpska in Serbia event in Belgrade that Serbia and Srpska do not need new introductions, but need to confirm friendship and show that they are true brothers who are gathered around a holy word – freedom.
Dodik said that the course of history did not manage to interrupt love and connections between Serbs, and stressed that this event awakens strong emotions in him and that he always comes with the desire for it to be as good as possible.
He said that this evening he would like to pay his respects to our ancestors who gave their lives for freedom that is now enjoyed by the Serbian people in Serbia and Srpska.
The solemn opening of the Days of Srpska and Serbia in the Kombank Arena in Belgrade was attended by the director of the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Serbia, Mladjen Cicovic, the Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Maja Gojkovic, Prince Alexander and Princess Catherin Karadjordjevic, the Vicar Bishop of His Holiness the Patriarch of the Serbs, Stefan, Ministers in the Serbian and Republika Srpska Governments, academics and representatives of the Serbian Army and police.
The Days of Republika Srpska in Serbia event will last until September 8 during which time 25 programs will be presented in 19 cities and municipalities in Serbia.
