The European Parliament (EP) has prepared a draft resolution on the violence in Bosnia, through which the European Commission will be asked to actively participate in solving the complex situation in B&H and among other things establishing dialogue with representatives of the protesters.
This document was prepared on the 13th of February, following a wave of protests that engulfed Bosnia and it should be on the agenda of the EP in one of the next plenary session. Consideration of the proposal offered by the resolution will depend on developments in the Ukraine, where riots have intensified in the past few days.
The Draft resolution was submitted by MP Paolo Sergio Silvestris, who within the resolution recalls B&H’s commitment to the process of European integration and notes that a deep economic and financial crisis has affected all countries in the Balkans.
