An initiative by the Republican Organization of Families of Trapped, Killed Veterans and Missing Civilians that families of fallen combatants should be exempted from paying for the legalization of newly built housing units has received the support of the mayor and mayor across Srpska.
Given that these are categories that deserve at least some of their debt to be repaid in this way, as their loved ones gave their lives for Srpska, as they say in the Union of Municipalities and Towns of RS, there is no local community that will not meet them.
Alliance President Ljubiša Ćosić says that at a recent presidency meeting, it was agreed to send to all members a unique proposal for a decision on free legalization of housing for families of fallen soldiers.
– I am sure that all cities and municipalities will support this initiative and that this decision will be adopted at the level of local assemblies very soon. These categories of people should be afforded many benefits, as their family members have been involved in creating local communities in Srpska – Ćosić said, adding that families of fallen soldiers in East Novi Sarajevo, led by him, have been exempt from legalization for some time.
Doboj mayor Boris Jerinić also supported this initiative. He says that through the association of families of captured, killed soldiers and missing civilians, the city of Doboj is already giving subsidies, which these categories use to pay for the legalization of the housing.
– We have been going in this direction for some time, and we started from prefabricated facilities that were made for disabled war veterans from the first to the fourth category – said Jerinić.
Bijeljina Mayor Mićo Mićić says this initiative has his absolute support, and the Mayor of Višegrad, Mladen Đurovic, shares the same attitude.
President of the Republican Organization of Families of Trapped, Killed Veterans and Missing Civilians Veljko Lazić said that a proposal for a decision on free legalization of housing facilities for the families of fallen soldiers is being drafted, which will be delivered to all local communities in RS, which may be soon by city and municipal assemblies. should make the final decision.
– We are expecting a meeting with representatives of the city of Banja Luka soon, who will submit our initiative and ask them to make a final decision as soon as possible – said Lazić.
Veljko Lazić recalled that in 2018, this republican organization launched an initiative with the RS Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and Ecology to provide the families of fallen soldiers with free legalization of newly constructed housing facilities.
– In the line ministry, they suggested that with this initiative we would go to the Union of Municipalities and Towns of RS in order to make a unified decision at the level of Republic of Srpska for all local communities – said Lazić.
