The Institute for Textbooks and Teaching Resources of Republika Srpska has released the first set of postcards called “Greetings from Srpska” with recognizable motifs from Banja Luka, Višegrad, Trebinje and East Sarajevo.
“We believe these postcards will reach the addresses of your friends around the world, and thus contribute to the popularization of local tourist destinations,” the Textbooks and Teaching Institute said.
Authors of published photos are Mirjana Vasilj, Slobodan Krstić, Vaske East Sarajevo and City Print Banja Luka.
The first official postcards in the world were published in Austria in 1869, and at the end of the 20th century, over 4 million postcards were sent to the world, which enough talk about their popularity.
This is from the Institute for Textbooks and Teaching Resources, a small contribution to the popularization of such postcards, which receive the most attention from collectors today.
