The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Srpska, Boris Pašalić said that three documents will be passed this year, namely amendments to the Law on Agriculture, the Law on Incentives, and a new strategic plan that will enable a more efficient system of agricultural production.
”We need to regulate the system of agricultural incentives in order to inform our farmers, on time, the things we will finance for a longer period of time”, said Pašalić.
He pointed out that he wanted to bring some certainty in agricultural production and to resolve the status of the farmers’ association.
Pašalić stated that the agricultural budget for this year is 75 million BAM and that capital investments will continue to be a priority in its allocation.
The Association of Agricultural Producers of the Republic of Srpska supports the intentions of the Ministry, noting that they have previously made formal initiatives to pass legislation on incentives, as this would pave the way, especially for young farmers.
