Tonight in Banja Luka: International festval of children’s folklore


The 15th international festival of children folklore, entitled “Easter concert”, will begin at the summer stage of Kastel Fortress, on April 12th, at 7.30 pm. It is organized by ANIP “Mladost” and there will participate 450 participants from BiH, Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Croatia .

“The aim of the event is gathering regional children’s folklore ensembles and to promote the diversity of folk culture and the origin of melos. The Easter concert has become multicultural because participants at the same time represent their countries, peoples and national minorities”, said the organizer. They stated that this festival gathers children from five to 16 years old, and that this year for the first time also the children from the Center “Protect me” will participate.

The festival was included in the World Association of Folklore CIOFF at UNESCO.

Before the performance on Kastel, starting at 16:00 hours the defile of the participants is foreseen through the center of the city, and at 20 hours the organizer announced the opening of Gastro Fest and old crafts in the Cultural Center in Zalužani.

“Easter concert” is in the program of “Spring in Banja Luka”.
