Recent claims by SNSD that certain NGOs, media outlets, and individuals are engaged by foreign countries, including the U.S. Embassy and USAID, to act as “foreign agents” to undermine the constitutional order of the RS are absurd and an insult to the citizens of this country, reads a press release issued by the U.S. Embassy in B&H.
“While conspiracy theories are not uncommon in the public dialogue, these assertions serve only to distract from inadequacies in the economy, the justice system, political representation, fighting corruption and more.
When political parties and their leaders begin seeing enemies among their own citizens and the embassies of countries that are reliable friends and partners of BiH, it becomes clear that their pursuit of electoral survival has turned into paranoia”, continues the press release.
The U.S. embassy further emphasized its support in B&H and added that its work is no secret and is directly linked to the goals to which political and government leaders in B&H say they are committed.
