The court case against the President of Srpska Milorad Dodik and the director of the “Official Gazette of Srpska” Miloš Lukić is being conducted with the aim of collapsing the institutions of Srpska and unitizing Bosnia and Herzegovina, said the Secretary General of the President of the Republic, Jelena Pajić Baštinac.
Baštinac stressed that this process is a challenge for all participants in the defense of the President of the Republic and that everyone shows their willingness to participate and contribute.
She said that at today’s expert-consultative meeting in Laktaši, in which lawyers from Srpska and Serbia participated, a patriotic determination to preserve the institutions and Republika Srpska itself was felt.
“They are constantly trying to present that it is a proceeding against Dodik and Lukić, but the professional public in Serbia and Republika Srpska is actually aware of the fact that it is a proceeding against the republic’s institutions and that, if it had any negative outcome, it would be a disaster for Srpska”, explained Baštinac for ATV.
She emphasized that the consequences would not stop at a possible conviction against the President of the Republic and Lukić, but would go further with the collapse of the institutions of Srpska, and finally, to the unitarization of BiH, which is the ultimate goal of this court proceeding.
Those who judge Dodik, noted Baštinac, constantly ignore the fact that they are not judging a natural entity but a statesman who has protocol obligations.
“No matter how much they try to show that we are running away and that we show a certain fear, that is not true. We prepare our defense every day, we are ready and we are deeply convinced that we will come out of this process as winners,” Baštinac emphasized.
