Visit to the tennis courts construction site in Mladen Stojanović Park in Banja Luka

President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik visited the works on the construction of tennis courts in Mladen Stojanović Park in Banja Luka.

The President of the Republic of Srpska said that he was satisfied with the dynamics of the construction of the sports complex in Banja Luka’s Mladen Stojanović Park, and announced that on April 5, the hall, all the courts and the logistics will be in operation for “Srpska Open” tournament, in which the world best tennis player Novak Đoković will perform.

“This means that we will be able to welcome tennis players who arrive earlier”, said the President Dodik and added that he will visit this construction site again on April 5, as he did today.

The President of the Republic emphasized that Srpska and Banja Luka are getting new, more modern and aesthetically more beautiful content with the construction of these fields, which everyone should be proud of.

“This will be the greatest sports event after the Olympics in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Banja Luka will get a new and modern multifunctional sports hall where basketball, handball, football and the like can be played”, said the President Dodik.

The President of the Republic of Srpska added that the hall would accommodate around 6,000 people, although this number is small in a view that many people from the region are contacting to buy tickets for the “Srpska Open”.

“Nevertheless, I think that we are making this for Banja Luka and our people, and that we should find a way to ensure that they have some advantage. In any case, I am satisfied with what I see, because this is a capital story for Banja Luka and Srpska that we will all enjoy together”, said the President Dodik, who visited the construction site together with the President of the Tennis Association of the Republic of Srpska Draško Milinović and a representative of the contractor.
