The Association of War Veterans of Republika Srpska has decided not to go ahead with the scheduled protest in Banjaluka. Namely, Veterans have decided to honor Soul Saturday (a religious holiday which included visits to cemeteries) and visit the military cemetery in Sokolac, confirmed the President of the Association, Dusko Vukotic.
After this holy day, he explained the staff for the organization of peaceful protests will remain in continuous session. Vukotic added that protests will occur when they can guarantee to all the citizens of Banjaluka that there will be no incidents.
Although the President of the Veterans Organization of Srpska, Pantelija Curguz, ignored the veteran’s demands for his resignation, Vukotic said that some of the goals of the protest, held in Banjaluka a few days ago, were met.
