Waterfall Kravice, a place to be seen

Kravice Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall which is located three kilometers downstream from Vitaljina, in Studenci near Ljubuški, only 40 kilometers from Mostar. Trebižat River is responsible for existence of this waterfall, which height ranges from 26 – 28 meters.

A natural pool under a waterfall of 120 meters in diameter is particularly interesting for the visitors, since it is favorite local swimming place and resort. Flora is very rich in this area – different types of grass, moss, algae and lichens, figs and poplar can be found here. Many mills and stood for rolling cloth used to exist all around the Kravice Waterfall. Travertine area around the Kravice Waterfall is one of the geological monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

It is the best to visit the Kravice Waterfall in spring, when it has the highest level and the surrounding nature is clothed with glorious greenery, so it is an ideal place for leisure and entertainment in the pristine natural surroundings with the constant sound of a waterfall in the background. In the summer, it is usually visited by rafting lovers and local residents. Near the waterfall, there is a small cave where you can see stalactites of calcium carbonate, the old mill and the boat. You can also experience 10-kilometers-long canoe safari on the Trebižat River, organized by local experienced operators, at a price of 70 BAM per person (guide, canoe and equipment included). There is another waterfall on Trebižat River called Koćuša Waterfall. This waterfall is a 10 – 12 meters high and about 30 meters wide. There are many mills and towers near the waterfall, some of which are still working.
