What is agreed on the BiH Presidency regular session?

The BiH Presidency held the 37th regular session in Sarajevo, the capital of BiH, at which several questions were considered and several conclusions were adopted.

The BiH Presidency acknowledged the Information of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvidic about the undertaken and remaining activities regarding the preparations of the reply of the European Commission’s Questionnaire. The BiH Presidency obligated the Council of Ministers, in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Srpska, the Government of the Federation of BiH, the governments of the cantons, and the Government of the Brcko District, to undertake all necessary activities in order to deliver answers to article 1 of the European Commission’s Questionnaire.

The Presidency adopted the BiH delegation’s platform for the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly, which will be held in New York between September 19 and 28, 2017. The delegation of BiH will be led by the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Dragan Covic.

The BiH Presidency adopted a decision about beginning a process for conducting talks regarding an agreement between the BiH Council of Ministers and the Government of the People’s Republic of China for visa-free travel and between the BiH Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of National Defense of the People’s Republic of China about military assistance for BiH.

Decisions regarding the beginning of a process for conducting talks regarding a memorandum of understanding in the domain of sports between BiH and the Kingdom of Bahrain and a Grant Agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway and the BiH Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees for improving women’s security and countering gender discrimination and violence in BiH.

The BiH Presidency approved concluding an agreement regarding the allocation of non-returnable funds between the BiH Central Electoral Commission and the Council of Europe for conducting further education of trainers, presidents and members of electoral boards and an agreement regarding the allocation of non-returnable funds between the BiH Central Electoral Commission and the Council of Europe for the preparation, design, and printing of the brochure “New technologies in the electoral process – challenges and opportunities of application in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
