The President of the Bosnian Serb entity of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, on Sunday named his closest associate Zeljka Cvijanovic Prime Minister.
“The new parliamentary majority agreed entirely on her candidacy,” Dodik told journalists in Banja Luka.
He added that his party, the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), was unanimous on the candidacy of Cvijanovic, who has held the post of Republika Srpska PM until now.
This news did not sit well with the opposition, who called Cvijanovic the “wrong choice” for Srpska, especially after speculation over an audio recording reportedly revealing Cvijanovic’s mix up in an MP “pay off”.
