Two Gatherings Today in Banja Luka

0

Today in Banja Luka at 6 pm two meetings are scheduled at the same location.

The first rally is led by Drasko Stanivuković against the authorities. A young MP in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Drasko Stanivukovic, opted for new protests after he was hit on Monday by Republika Srpska Police Minister Dragan Lukač.

The incident was caused by Stanivuković’s waving of NATO flags, as the National Assembly Special Session on the “Reform Program” was held that day.

In response to an opposition rally, the gathering was also announced by war veterans who will have the support of Milorad Dodik.

Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik says he will honour an invitation of associations of veterans of the homeland defence war and attend a public assembly Banjaluka in order to voice his support to Republika Srpska’s institutional power.

Banjaluka Police Directorate said that they did not prohibit holding any of the reported public rallies, and police officers will provide security for both public rallies in accordance with their authority.

They urge all citizens to express their views peacefully and with dignity, in accordance with the regulations of Republika Srpska, and to refrain from violating the JRiM and other forms of misconduct.
